Miya Hannan is an Associate Professor and Area Head of Drawing at the Department of Art, Art History and Design at the University of Nevada, Reno, and serves as Graduate Director of the Master of Fine Arts program. Her work spans sculpture, installation art, and drawing, focusing on historical memory, cultural heritage, and human-nature relationships. She holds an MFA from the San Francisco Art Institute and a B.A. in Fine Art from San Diego State University, alongside prior education in medical technology in Japan.
