Mitchell Akiyama is an Assistant Professor of Visual Studies at the Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape and Design, University of Toronto. His interdisciplinary work bridges sound art, urban studies, and sensory experience, engaging with themes of activism, media theory, and cultural history. Akiyama holds a PhD in Communications from McGill University and an MFA from Concordia University.
