Mitch Browne is an Adjunct Research Fellow in the School of Social Sciences (Linguistics Department) at The University of Western Australia. He holds a PhD in Linguistics from the University of Queensland (2021) and has served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Macquarie University (2023–2026). His research focuses on documenting and describing traditional Australian Indigenous languages, collaborating closely with speaker communities to preserve linguistic heritage and advance cultural well-being.
