معرفی
Misria Shaik Ali is a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, with a PhD in Science and Technology Studies from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. She serves as a Contributing Editor for Platypus, the official blog of the Committee for the Anthropology of Science, Technology, and Computing (CASTAC).
Her research advances Critical Nuclear Studies and the concept of Epistemologies of Neglect, synthesizing frameworks from Science and Technology Studies, Feminist Science, Postcolonial Theory, Sensory Studies, and Agnotology. Her work explores how knowledge gaps and deliberate ignorances shape scientific and technological systems, particularly through material engagements with concepts like porosity as examined in her blog post Witnessing the Porous World.
As a CASTAC member, she contributes to anthropological discourse on science and technology through the organization's blog platform and academic networks. Her interdisciplinary approach bridges material studies with critical theory to examine how anthropogenic engagements with physical properties like porosity reflect broader epistemological frameworks.
