Mischa Fisher is an Instructor in the Dual Masters in Applied Economics and Social and Economic Policy program at Northwestern University’s School of Education & Social Policy. He currently serves as Chief Economist for Angi Inc., overseeing market research on consumer spending, labor markets, and housing trends. Previously, he held roles as Chief Economist and policy advisor to the Governor of Illinois, managing economic development and housing agencies, and as Deputy Director of the Illinois Department of Commerce. Fisher also served in Washington D.C. as a Legislative Director focusing on financial markets, infrastructure, and technology policy.
His research and analyses have been featured in major publications including The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, and Forbes, and he has presented at institutions such as the National Bureau of Economic Research, Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, and Harvard University.
