Dr. Mirko Nottscheid is a Research Associate at the Frank Wedekind Editions and Research Center within the German Institute at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz. He has been working on the DFG project "Editing Frank Wedekind's Correspondence as an Online Full-Text Database" since April 2018, under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Ariane Martin and Prof. Dr. Uta Störl.
His research focuses on German literature of the 19th and 20th centuries, Literary Modernism, History of science and universities, Editorial philology, epistolary research, and estate development. His scholarly work demonstrates a strong emphasis on historical correspondence and editorial practices within German literary studies.
Dr. Nottscheid's publications reveal significant contributions to the field through multiple editions of correspondence collections, monographs, and anthologies. His work often centers on important figures in German literary history such as Frank Wedekind, Karl Kraus, and Wilhelm Scherer, with particular attention to the social and institutional contexts of literary production.
