Mirko Faccioli is an Associate Professor at the University of Verona, affiliated with both the Department of Engineering for Innovation Medicine and the Department of Law. He holds academic position in the field of Private Law (GIUR-01/A) with research interests spanning legal studies, comparative law, and digital approaches to political science and law.
His research focuses on several key areas within private law, including conditional transactions and contracts subject to conditions, ethics and law of innovation biomedicine, consumer law and private law rights, state registry and marital status registration, and medical liability. His work bridges traditional legal frameworks with contemporary issues in biomedicine and technology.
Professor Faccioli has been actively involved in numerous research projects since 2003, with a particular focus on European legal frameworks, consumer protection, and medical liability. His recent projects include "Renouvellement et simplification du droit des contrats dans le contexte européen" (2023), "PRIN 2020 E-Agorà" (2022), and "Progetto di eccellenza: Diritto, Cambiamenti e Tecnologie" (2018).
He serves in various institutional capacities including as Chair of the Commissione Internazionalizzazione and as Referente per l'internazionalizzazione for the Department of Engineering for Innovation Medicine. He is also a member of multiple committees including Comitato di Approvazione della Ricerca sulla Persona (CARP) and various teaching boards.
Professor Faccioli teaches extensively across multiple degree programs, primarily focusing on Civil Law, Civil Liability Law, and specialized courses related to health legislation, security and privacy, and medical professional responsibilities. His teaching spans the Combined Bachelor's + Master's degree in Law, Master's degree in Health Professions of Technical Sciences, and the Bachelor's degree in Human Centered Medical System Engineering.
