Miriam Wilhelm is a Full Professor of Sustainable Supply Chain Management at the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU), where she contributes to Sustainability and Purchasing modules. She previously held a Full Professor position at the University of Groningen (2010-2022) and served as Academic Director for MSc programmes.
Her research focuses on multi-tier supply chains, governance of sustainability, and human rights in global supply networks. She has published in top journals like Journal of Operations Management and Organization Science, and currently serves as Associate Editor at the Journal of Supply Chain Management.
Her recent work explores forced labor mitigation via social intermediaries, plural sourcing for CSR, and mandatory due diligence legislation. She has received multiple Best Paper awards at Academy of Management Conferences (2016, 2018, 2020).
