Miriam Stegemann

Dr. Miriam Stegemann is a physician scientist at Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin, Germany, where she serves as Head of the Antimicrobial Stewardship (AMS) program and Senior Physician in Infectious Diseases. She specializes in Internal Medicine, Infectious Diseases, and Tropical Medicine, with a focus on antibiotic stewardship and global health initiatives.

Her research emphasizes bridging evidence with clinical and laboratory practices, particularly in low- and middle-income countries like Rwanda through projects such as AMS hospital partnerships and the EFFO initiative.
