Miriam Rehm is a Professor of Socio-Economics at the Institute for Socio-Economics, University of Duisburg-Essen, with a focus on Empirical Inequality Research. She also serves as Executive Director of the Institute and is a member of the Austrian Fiscal Advisory Council (Fiskalrat).

Her research explores inequality, labour markets, gender, and economic policy, with a particular emphasis on wealth distribution, aggregate demand, and ecological economics. Recent work includes studies on energy poverty, pandemic-induced unpaid labour, and the macroeconomic impacts of wage share decline.
Her publications appear in journals such as the Cambridge Journal of Economics, European Journal of Economics and Economic Policy, and Journal of Post Keynesian Economics. Her scientific awards include recognition for her contributions to inequality research and policy analysis.
