Miriam Hirsch is an Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Education at Stern College for Women, Yeshiva University. She holds a BA in Psychology from Barnard College, two MAs from Teachers College, Columbia University (Curriculum & Teaching, Arts Education), and a PhD in Educational Administration from New York University. Her research focuses on how narrative experiences in teaching and schooling shape educational opportunities and dispositions. She previously served as an assistant principal in a Jewish girls’ elementary school and taught in private/public schools in NYC.
