Professor Mirela Alpeza has been affiliated with the Faculty of Economics and Business in Osijek since 2003, serving as a full-time Professor in the Department of Management, Organization and Entrepreneurship since 2022. She teaches graduate courses on Entrepreneurship and Innovation. She also directs the SMEs and Entrepreneurship Policy Center (CEPOR) in Zagreb since 2011.
Her research focuses on entrepreneurship, SME sustainability, family business succession, and business transfer processes. Notable contributions include the 'Business Transfer Barometar Croatia' research initiative and participation in EU-level business transfer methodology development. She is a member of the European Council for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (ECSB) and the Board of Directors of TRANSEO – European Association for SME Transfer.
Her work integrates academic research with practical consulting, conducting workshops for entrepreneurs and institutions. She actively participates in national and international conferences, emphasizing the importance of intergenerational business continuity and ecosystem support for SMEs.
