Mirco Tonin

Mirco Tonin is a Full Professor of Economic Policy at the Faculty of Economics and Management, Free University of Bozen-Bolzano, Italy, and Director of the Institute for the Evaluation of Public Policies (FBK-IRVAPP) in Trento. He holds affiliations with research institutions such as IZA, CESifo, and the Dondena Centre at Bocconi University. His academic journey includes roles as a Professor at the University of Southampton (UK) and a UniCredit Fellow at the Central European University (Hungary).

Education: PhD in Economics from Stockholm University (2007), Laurea in Economics (Summa Cum Laude) from Bocconi University (2000). Previous roles include consulting for the World Bank and International Labour Office, and visiting positions at institutions like the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and LUISS in Rome.
