Associate Professor Minyuan Zhao specializes in strategic management and international business at Washington University's Olin Business School. Her research examines global innovation strategies, intellectual property management, and multinational corporate strategies in emerging markets. With previous appointments at Michigan, Wharton, and Carlson School of Management, Professor Zhao has received multiple teaching awards across executive MBA programs.
Her research investigates firm-environment interactions in global contexts, particularly how multinational enterprises navigate diverse institutional environments and leverage innovation across borders. Key interests include knowledge sourcing strategies, geographic clustering effects, and intellectual property management in cross-cultural contexts.
