Dr. Minna Rose Chung is a Professor of Cello at the Desautels Faculty of Music, University of Manitoba. She serves as Area Head, Strings; MPS Instructor and String Techniques Coordinator; Chamber Ensemble Coach; and Director of the student-led "C-String Collective" ensemble. Chung is co-author of the acclaimed cello pedagogy book CelloMind: Intonation and Technique and maintains an active international performance career.

Her research and creative works focus on cello technique, particularly through her CelloMind publication, and commissioning contemporary compositions. Chung directs Project Rio, a program supporting the Rio International Cello Encounter in Brazil, and coordinates the University of Manitoba Symphony Orchestra. Her performance highlights include tours across five continents and collaborations with the Manitoba Chamber Orchestra.
