Minke Nieuwboer

Minke Nieuwboer is a Professor of Community Nursing at HAN University of Applied Sciences, appointed in April 2021. Her work focuses on advancing community nursing through practice-based research and education, emphasizing professionalization, interprofessional collaboration, and addressing healthcare challenges in vulnerable populations. She holds a PhD from Radboud University (2019) for research on interprofessional communication and clinical leadership in primary care networks.

• Career: Began as a community nurse in Nijmegen (1980s), later roles at the National Center for Nursing & Care (LCVV), Radboud University Medical Center, and Radboud Alzheimer Center.
• Expertise: Dementia care, palliative care, preventive care, and healthcare networks for vulnerable elderly.
• Developed over 40 local networks for vulnerable older adults and caregivers.
