Minjong Jun is an Assistant Professor at the School of Strategic Leadership Studies, James Madison University. She previously served as an Instructor at Binghamton University’s School of Management (2021–2024), teaching courses like Global Strategic Management and Team Leadership. Her research focuses on Strategic HRM, Leadership, Human Capital, Advanced Research Methods, and Statistics, with notable contributions to understanding training implications, HR systems, and leadership methodologies. She holds a Ph.D. in Leadership & Organizational Science from Binghamton University (2024), an M.S. in Organizational Behavior from Seoul National University (2019), and dual B.A./B.B.A. degrees from Seoul National University (2013).
Her research explores how HR systems and training programs influence employee turnover and organizational performance, often employing advanced statistical methods like polynomial regression. Recent work emphasizes gender differences in managerial careers and the interplay between HR strategies and human capital development.
Jun has received prestigious awards such as the 2024 Best Paper in HR Division at AOM and the 2023 Samsung Global Research Scholarship. Her service roles include reviewing for AOM and SMA conferences, and she has contributed to leadership training initiatives and startup competitions like The LaunchPad.
