Dr. Minji Kim is an Assistant Professor of Music at Gordon College, affiliated with the Adams School of Music and the Arts. She previously served as Visiting Assistant Professor and Assistant Director of Choral Studies at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and held roles at the University of Maryland. Her expertise spans choral conducting, music education, and orchestral collaboration.

Research & Performance Interests: Dr. Kim specializes in choral conducting techniques, choral literature interpretation, and collaborative orchestral performances. Her work emphasizes precision in ensemble execution and artistic expression across classical and contemporary repertoires.
Awards & Recognition: Her performance of Mozart's Vesperae Solennes de Confessore earned a 2019-2020 American Prize finalist nomination. She was also a finalist in the 2021 ACDA Graduate Student Conducting Masterclass and a fellow in prestigious conducting programs with Mar&ía Guinand and Simon Carrington.
Advising & Leadership: Dr. Kim has directed choirs such as the University Chorale and Chamber Consort, taught undergraduate courses in choral methods and conducting, and served as chorus master for major orchestras including the National Symphony Orchestra and Baltimore Symphony Orchestra.
Labs/Teams: Active in leading ensembles like the University of Maryland Chamber Choir and collaborating with orchestras on works by composers like Handel, Rossini, and Kurt Weill.
