Dr. Minha Lee is an Assistant Professor in the Industrial Design Department at Eindhoven University of Technology, specializing in Human-Computer Interaction and conversational agent design. Her research examines how technology mediates moral conflicts and emotional experiences, with applications in dementia care, mental health, and human-AI interaction.
Lee developed the concept of 'interactional morality' during her PhD research, exploring how conversational interfaces can serve as moral mirrors. She leads projects on designing compassionate chatbots for dementia patients and studies emotional responses to AI systems. Her work received the Alzheimer Nederland Impulse Grant for dementia care innovations.
Lee holds a PhD in Human-Technology Interaction and Philosophy from Eindhoven University, MS in Information Science from the University of Amsterdam, and BFA in Digital Arts from Pratt Institute. She completed a visiting research fellowship at the University of Southern California.
