Minette Drumwright

Minette Drumwright is a Professor at the University of Texas at Austin, affiliated with the Moody College of Communication's School of Advertising & Public Relations and the McCombs School of Business's Business, Government & Society Department (courtesy appointment). She played a key role in establishing the Communication and Leadership Degree, which she directed for six years, and previously served on UT Austin's Marketing faculty and Harvard Business School's Marketing faculty.

Her research and teaching focus on ethics, leadership, and corporate social responsibility within advertising and marketing. She leads initiatives such as the Bridging Disciplines Program in Ethics and Leadership, serves as a faculty fellow at the RGK Center for Philanthropy and Community Service, and contributes to ethical leadership frameworks through affiliations with the Moody Center for Ethical Leadership in Media, Ethics Unwrapped, and McCombs Center for Leadership and Ethics.

Notable accolades include the Kim Rotzoll Award for Advertising Ethics and Social Responsibility, the highest recognition in advertising ethics research. She is also a member of UT Austin's Academy of Distinguished Teachers and has received multiple teaching excellence awards.

Prior to academia, Drumwright worked as public relations director for Baylor Medical Center (Dallas) and Baptist Medical Center (Jacksonville, Florida). Her career spans academic leadership, interdisciplinary collaboration, and applied industry experience.
