Mincheol Shin is an Assistant Professor at Tilburg University's Department of Communication and Cognition, part of the Tilburg School of Humanities and Digital Sciences. He holds a PhD from Syracuse University, a master's degree from Nanyang Technological University, and a bachelor's from Sungkyunkwan University. His research focuses on socio-psychological effects of interactive and immersive technologies, including virtual reality (VR), mixed reality (MR), and chatbots. He explores topics like uncanny valley effects, influencer marketing authenticity, and pro-environmental campaign messaging.
