Dr. Minakshi Bhardwaj serves as Senior Lecturer in Health Promotion and Public Health and Course Leader for BSc Public Health (Honours) at the University of West London's College of Nursing, Midwifery and Healthcare. With a multidisciplinary background spanning biological sciences, public health, and biomedical ethics, she maintains active research collaborations across Asia and Africa.
Her research focuses on critical global health challenges through qualitative and mixed-methods approaches. Key areas include antimicrobial resistance in LMICs, maternal health financing systems, laboratory capacity strengthening, and ethical governance of genomic databases. Notable projects involve EU-funded initiatives in India and Ghana, Wellcome Trust programs in Nepal, and Gates Foundation research on gendered household survey effects.
Dr. Bhardwaj has secured substantial grant funding from international bodies including the EU, Wellcome Trust, ESRC, British Academy, Daiwa Foundation, and Sasakawa Foundation. Her consultancy work extends to UNITAID, DFID, UNFAO, UNESCO, and COMEST, addressing HIV self-testing, neglected tropical diseases, genetic technologies, and climate change ethics.
