Mina Hosseinipour, MD, MPH is a Professor of Medicine at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine, where she serves as Scientific Director of UNC Project-Malawi. Her work focuses on infectious diseases research with a particular emphasis on global health initiatives in sub-Saharan Africa.
She received her medical degree from Northwestern University Medical School and completed her MPH at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, establishing a strong foundation in both clinical medicine and public health that informs her research approach.
Dr. Hosseinipour's research interests center on HIV disease management in developing countries, including prevention strategies, interactions with endemic diseases, treatment of opportunistic infections and malignancies, and monitoring strategies for antiretroviral therapy.
