Mina Chau

Dr. Mina Chau serves as an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice at Long Island University's College of Pharmacy and Clinical Pharmacy Manager in the Liver Transplant Clinic at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center, certified for collaborative drug therapy management in New York State.

Her educational background includes a Pharm.D. with Research Honors from The University of Texas at Austin, followed by a PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at University of Michigan Health and a PGY-2 Pharmacy Residency in Solid Organ Transplant at the University of Cincinnati.

Specializing in Solid Organ Transplant, Hepatology, and Ambulatory Care, her research focuses on optimizing immunosuppressive regimens—particularly tacrolimus formulations and mycophenolic acid—and investigating external factors like the COVID-19 pandemic on transplant outcomes, with emphasis on pharmacokinetics and renal function monitoring.

Her scholarly output from 2019-2024 spans transplant pharmacy, pharmacy education, and community health, presented at major conferences including the American Transplant Congress and ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting, demonstrating expertise in clinical trial design and translational research.
