Min Young Lee is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Kenan-Flagler Business School of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her research explores how workplace experiences shape self-perception and influence motivation, engagement, and behavior through two streams: self-diminishment (internalizing marginalizing experiences) and self-empowerment (internalizing affirming experiences). She also teaches organizational behavior and manages UNC's Center for Decision Research, which supports empirical and qualitative studies on organizational dynamics.
- PhD in Management, Scheller College of Business, Georgia Institute of Technology
- MA in Developmental Psychology, Teachers College, Columbia University
- BA in Psychology and Sociology, Emory University
Her research emphasizes the psychological impact of social cues in organizations, linking them to adaptive or maladaptive outcomes. She integrates these insights into her teaching, encouraging students to critically examine workplace psychology. The Center for Decision Research she manages provides students opportunities to engage in management research.
