Min-Sig Hwang, PhD, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Radiologic Sciences at Drexel University College of Medicine and serves as the Medical Physics Residency Program Director at Allegheny Health Network. He has mentored over 10 post-graduate medical physics residents and holds board certification in Therapeutic Medical Physics from the American Board of Radiology.
Education:
- PhD in Biomedical Engineering (Specializing in MRI), University of Florida
- MS in Materials Science Engineering, KAIST
- BS in Metallurgical Engineering, Yonsei University
Research & Professional Roles: Focuses on MRI applications in cardiovascular imaging and medical physics. Active in peer review for high-impact journals, national/international presentations, and residency program development. Member of professional societies including Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance and American Association of Physicists in Medicine.
Labs/Teams: Leads the Medical Physics Residency Program Steering Committee and Physics Advisory Committee at Allegheny Health Network.
