Min Fang is an Assistant Professor of Economics at the University of Florida since January 2023. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Rochester (2021), an MA from Yeshiva University (2015), and a BA from Zhejiang University (2014). His research focuses on macro-finance, monetary economics, spatial economics, and the economics of technology, with particular emphasis on AI pricing trends, financial frictions, and China's economic policies. He has conducted postdoctoral work at the University of Lausanne and Geneva University, and served as a visiting assistant professor at the University of Toronto.
Research interests include analyzing how micro-level financial constraints affect macroeconomic dynamics, with notable work on debt covenants, spatial misallocation in China, and AI-driven pricing strategies. His articles explore topics such as pollution abatement, firm heterogeneity, and policy impacts on economic inequality.
Teaching includes graduate courses in macroeconomics, computational methods, and financial economics at the University of Florida. He advises multiple PhD students and collaborates with institutions like the Gator Macro/International Group. His work has been recognized in journals like Journal of Monetary Economics and Labour Economics.
