Mimmi Gustafsson is a Lecturer at Linköping University's Department of Management and Engineering (IEI), affiliated with the Division of Economics (NEK). She is concurrently a PhD candidate in economics specializing in gender economics and discrimination.
Her research examines how social norms and stereotypes shape economic outcomes across labor markets, housing markets, and entrepreneurship. Using Swedish field experiments, her work investigates systemic discrimination patterns, particularly regarding parental leave intentions and hiring practices. Current projects analyze intersectional impacts of gender in socioeconomic decision-making.
Gustafsson teaches foundational microeconomics and macroeconomics courses across multiple programs including the Bachelor's Programme in Political Science and Economics, Business and Economics Program, and Upper-Secondary School Teacher Programme. Her pedagogical approach integrates real-world discrimination case studies into core economic theory instruction.
