Miloš Stanojević serves as a Research Associate at the University of Belgrade's Institute for Multidisciplinary Research and Assistant Professor at the University of Pristina's Faculty of Science and Mathematics. His dual appointments focus on plant science and ecological restoration within Balkan ecosystems.
Education:
- Doctor of Biological Sciences (2022), University of Pristina
- Master of Biology (2015), University of Pristina
- Bachelor of Biology (2014), University of Pristina
Stanojević's research centers on plant morphology, systematics, and phylogeny of higher plants, with specialized expertise in spontaneous vegetation renewal processes and mineral nutrition under stress conditions. His work integrates field ecology with advanced laboratory techniques including ICP-OES and CHNS analysis to examine plant-soil interactions in degraded habitats.
Analysis of his 2016-2024 publications reveals consistent focus on Balkan flora dynamics, particularly invasion ecology in polluted habitats, post-mining site restoration, and plant adaptations to metalliferous soils. His interdisciplinary approach bridges taxonomy, ecophysiology, and environmental restoration.
Since 2015, Stanojević has taught courses including Plant Anatomy, Systematics of Higher Plants, and Endemic Flora of the Balkans. He contributed to the national project 'Mineral stress and plant adaptation on marginal agricultural lands' (2011-2019) and serves as active member of both the Serbian Biological Society and European Society for Ecological Restoration.
Working within the Department of Plant, Soil and Nano Systems, he collaborates on interdisciplinary teams investigating plant responses to anthropogenic disturbances, with emphasis on spontaneous restoration mechanisms in Serbia's unique metalliferous landscapes.
