Millie Chaston

Millie Chaston is an Associate Lecturer in Adventure Education & Outdoor Learning at Marjon University's School of Education. Her work focuses on enabling equitable access to outdoor environments through sustainable adventure practices. She holds an MRes and BA(Hons) in Outdoor Adventure Education, alongside teaching qualifications in Physical Education.

Her research explores gender equality in outdoor contexts, digital technology integration in adventure education, and experiential learning methodologies. Notable contributions include examining cyborg theory in mountain environments and intersectionality issues within UK outdoor education.

Recent conference presentations address topics like data tracking devices in mountaineering and hybrid outdoor experiences across physical/digital realms. She is an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (AFHEA).
