معرفی
Milica Stojanović serves as a Research Fellow at the Department of Living Systems Sciences, Institute for Multidisciplinary Research, University of Belgrade since 2023, specializing in plant biotechnology and food science with emphasis on vegetable crop systems. Her work bridges agricultural practice and biochemical analysis to enhance sustainable food production.
Education:
- Doctor of Biotechnical Sciences, Faculty of Biofarming, Megatrend University in Belgrade (2023)
- Graduated Agricultural Engineer for Field Crops, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Belgrade (2013)
- Tenth Gymnasium "Mihajlo Pupin" in Belgrade (2003)
Research Expertise: Dr. Stojanović's work centers on lettuce cultivation technology with specialized focus on microbiological fertilizers and effective microorganisms. Her research quantifies primary and secondary metabolites (phenolic compounds, sesquiterpene lactones) and antioxidant components using spectrophotometric methods and sensory analysis. She investigates how seasonal variations and microbial treatments impact crop quality, productivity, and biochemical profiles through rigorous laboratory and field methodologies.
Publication Trends: Her 2020-2023 publications reveal consistent investigation into microbiological fertilizer effects across multiple lettuce cultivars, demonstrating how seasonal conditions interact with microbial treatments to influence metabolite production, antioxidant activity, and crop yield. This body of work establishes critical connections between sustainable agricultural practices and nutritional quality in leafy vegetables.
Scientific Recognition:
- Nikola Spasic Foundation Award for Best Second-Year Student at the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Belgrade (2004/2005)
Research Leadership: Currently leads the "WasteToFeed" project (ID 1204) funded by Serbia's Fund for Innovative Activity, developing sustainable ruminant feed from vegetable waste treated with beneficial bacteria. She also serves as reviewer for Emirates Journal of Food and Agriculture, Scientific Reports, Frontiers in Sustainable Food Systems, Cogent Food & Agriculture, and ACS Food Science & Technology while maintaining membership in the Society for Plant Physiology of Serbia.
