Milica Pešić is a Principal Research Fellow at the Institute for Biological Research "Siniša Stanković" (National Institute of the Republic of Serbia, University of Belgrade). She served as Head of the Department of Neurobiology from 2019 to 2025 and is actively involved in cancer biology, redox biology, and neurobiology research.

- PhD in Biology, University of Belgrade (2008)
Her research focuses on cancer multidrug resistance, glioblastoma, non–small cell lung carcinoma, and metabolic diseases, with extensive use of flow cytometry and molecular biology techniques. She has co-authored over 120 publications (SCOPUS) cited 2,400+ times (h-index: 29).
Milica Pešić is Vice President of the Serbian Association for Cancer Research and a member of the Global Young Academy (GYA). She contributes to interdisciplinary research at the University of Belgrade through the University Council for Interdisciplinary, Multidisciplinary, and Transdisciplinary Studies.
She also serves on the Steering Committee of the Institute for Medical Research and participates in science promotion initiatives like European Researchers' Night.
