Milica Govich

Milica Govich, known as Mila, is a Special Lecturer in Theatre at Oakland University's School of Music, Theatre and Dance, where she has taught since 2004. An award-winning professional actor, she integrates her extensive Broadway, film, and television experience into her academic work.

Her educational background includes:

• MFA in Acting from Ohio University's Professional Actor Training Program
• BS Ed from Duquesne University, where she performed as a solo vocalist and dancer in The Tamburitzans folk ensemble

Govich specializes in performance training with emphases on screen acting techniques and theatrical voice. She developed Oakland University's Advanced Acting for the Camera course to address industry demands, while maintaining expertise in musical theatre, stage combat, and classical text work. Her pedagogy bridges professional practice with academic training.
