Mileva Gjurovska

Prof. Mileva Gjurovska is a Full Professor at the Institute of Sociology, Faculty of Philosophy, University “St. Cyril and Methodius” in Skopje. She holds a PhD in Sociological Sciences (1996) and has served as a professor since 2007. Her career includes roles as President of the European Movement in North Macedonia (since 2010) and National Coordinator for EU-related projects such as the National Convention for the European Union (NCEU-MK). She specializes in gender studies, European integration, social economy, and labor sociology.

Research Interests: Prof. Gjurovska’s work focuses on gender equality, European integration dynamics, social economy development, and labor market sociology. She emphasizes the intersection of classical sociological theory with neoliberal paradigms and has contributed to policy reforms in Macedonia’s EU accession process.

Awards: She received the Academic Palme from France (2002) and has organized major international conferences on European integration. Her research spans Balkan cultural analysis, workplace stress, and political clientelism.
