Dr. Miles Beckwith is a Professor of English and Chair of the English Department at Iona College. He holds a Ph.D. from Yale University (1996) and a BA from St. John's College (1983). His expertise spans linguistics, classical languages (Greek/Latin), and Algonquian languages, particularly those of the Delaware (Lenape) people. He teaches courses in English, linguistics, Latin, and directs independent studies in Old Irish, Sanskrit, and linguistics.
