Milenia Fiedler is a distinguished Professor and current Rector of the National Film School in Łódź, where she also serves as Head of the Department of Editing within the Faculty of Film and Television Directing. With over three decades of experience in film education and editing, she has significantly shaped Polish cinematic arts education since becoming department head in 2016 and university rector in 2020.
Her academic journey includes:
- 1989: Graduated from Editing at the Film and Television Department of FAMU in Prague
- 2005: Earned PhD in Film Arts
- 2009: Received habilitation degree in film art
Fiedler's research and professional interests center on film editing, cinematography, historical film analysis, and documentary filmmaking.
