Prof. Dr. Dr. Milan Kuhli is the Vice Dean for Studies and Teaching at the University of Hamburg Faculty of Law and serves as a Judge at the Hanseatic Higher Regional Court (2. Strafsenat) since November 2023. He holds the Chair for Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure including international and historical aspects (W3-Professur), having declined offers from Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg (2022) and Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin (2022).
- Education: Completed Dr. jur. and Dr. phil. at Goethe-Universität Frankfurt am Main, habilitated in 2015
- Research: Focuses on Criminal Law Dogmatics, International Criminal Law, Legal Philosophy, Digitalization in Criminal Justice, and Historical Jurisprudence
His lecture series spans topics like Künstliche Intelligenz im Strafrecht (2024), Enforced Disappearances (2024), and NS-Justizunrecht Accountability (2023). He leads BMBF-funded projects on Self-Organization and Learning Strategies (2018-2020). Awards include the Werner-Pünder-Preis (2009) and Stiftungsfonds Kopper Dissertationspreis (2011).
