Milagros D. Silva, M.D., is an Assistant Professor of Medicine and Assistant Attending Physician at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and Weill Cornell Medical College, Cornell University. She specializes in Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine, focusing on improving end-of-life care for cancer patients and Limited English Proficient populations. Dr. Silva holds board certifications in Internal Medicine and Hospice/Palliative Medicine. Her clinical practice includes outpatient palliative care and consultation services within the Division of Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine.
Education: B.S.N. (Georgetown University, 2004), M.D. (Georgetown University School of Medicine, 2009). Residency at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, followed by a Palliative Medicine fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. She joined Weill Cornell in 2014 as the Silbermann Family Clinical Scholar in Geriatric Palliative Care.
Research interests center on culturally competent palliative care delivery and symptom management for chronically ill patients. She contributes to the Outpatient Palliative Care Program, offering multidisciplinary care through in-person, telehealth, and home visits for Weill Cornell-affiliated patients.
