Mila Mileva

Mila Mileva is a Lecturer in Psychology at the School of Psychology, University of York. She earned her PhD in Psychology from the University of York (2014–2017), following an MSc and BSc from Anglia Ruskin University. She previously held a Postdoctoral Research Associate position at the University of York from 2017 to 2020.

Her methodological expertise includes quantitative and online research methods.

Recent publications (2023–2025) reveal a strong focus on face identity recognition, the effects of prison sentences on facial trait perception, and multimodal person evaluation. Her work often explores the underlying dimensions of social judgments and the perceptual mechanisms critical for accurate recognition, with applications in forensic and real-world identification contexts.
