Miklós TELEK is a Full Professor at the Department of Networked Systems and Services, Budapest University of Technology and Economics. He heads the Stochastic Modeling Laboratory and the HUNREN-BME Information Systems Research Group, focusing on stochastic performance modeling of computer and communication systems. His research encompasses telecommunication traffic modeling, quantum computing applications, and zero-touch network automation.
Education: Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering (1994) and MTA Doctorate from the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (2004).
Research interests include stochastic processes, network algorithm development, secure machine learning-based network management, and quantum communication protocols. He authored/co-authored books on queueing systems and phase-type distributions.
Labs and Groups: Leads the Stochastic Modeling Laboratory since 1997 and the HUN-REN research group since 2012. His work includes developing performance analysis tools like MRMSolve and BuTools.
Collaborations: Visited institutions such as Duke University, Technical University of Berlin, and University of Catania, fostering international research partnerships.
