معرفی
Mikko Korhonen is a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech), associated with the School of Science. His research focuses on algebraic groups, Lie algebras, and representation theory with applications in finite field structures and geometric invariants.
- Ph.D. in Mathematics, École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (2018)
- B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Mathematics, University of Oulu (2014)
Korhonen's work explores nilpotent orbits, unipotent elements, and their interactions in classical groups. He has contributed to understanding Jordan block structures, Hesselink normal forms, and counterexamples in Steinberg conjectures. His publications span top journals like Journal of Algebra and Communications in Algebra.
Scientific awards include a Swiss National Science Foundation fellowship (2018). His recent projects focus on modular representation theory and symmetry analysis in algebraic systems.
