Mike Mueller-Smith

Mike Mueller-Smith is an Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Michigan, affiliated with the Department of Economics within the LSA (College of Literature, Science, and the Arts). He holds a Ph.D. from Columbia University (2015) and is a Tenure-track faculty member. His research focuses on the economics of crime, discrimination, and public assistance programs, particularly examining the societal impacts of incarceration and the experiences of sexual minorities. He also serves as a Post Doctoral Scholar at the Population Studies Center.
