Mike Essl

Mike Essl is Associate Professor at The Cooper Union School of Art, specializing in graphic design and typography. A Cooper Union alumnus (BFA '96), he co-founded the award-winning design firm The Chopping Block Inc. and has created work for Sony, MTV, DC Comics, and The New York Times. His practice explores the intersection of design, technology, and popular culture.

Professional recognition includes:
