Mika Paananen is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Psychology, University of Jyväskylä, within the Faculty of Education and Psychology. He specializes in child neuropsychology, developmental disorders, learning disabilities, and interventions targeting self-regulation and behavioral challenges. His work bridges clinical practice and educational research, focusing on school-based interventions and positive behavior support systems.
Research interests include neuropsychological assessments of children and adolescents, executive function deficits, and tailored support strategies for students with behavioral and learning difficulties. He contributes to the Centre of Excellence for Learning Dynamics and Intervention Research (InterLearn), exploring variability in intervention responses and long-term outcomes of behavioral and academic support.
