Mika Koskenoja is a University Lecturer at the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, University of Helsinki, affiliated with the Teachers' Academy. His primary roles include teaching foundational and intermediate mathematics courses such as Algebra I, Analysis II, Topology I, and courses for prospective teachers. He has supervised over 300 bachelor theses, 170 master's theses, and one licentiate thesis, currently overseeing about 20 ongoing theses. His research focuses on pluripotential theory, several complex variables, and variable exponent spaces.
Key achievements include the Award of the Finnish Mathematical Society (2012) and being named Vuoden Luennoitsija (2017/2018). He led the 'Opettajien Akatemia' project (2017–2019), funded by the University of Helsinki.
His teaching spans over 20 years, covering courses like Vector Analysis, Probability Theory, and Differential Equations. Research collaborations include international activities in complex analysis and pedagogical initiatives.
