Mika Jönsson is a Postdoctoral Fellow at Linköping University, affiliated with the Department of Biomedical and Clinical Sciences (BKV) and the Department of Cell and Neurobiology (CNB). She is an active member of the PAINOMICS® Research Group, focusing on molecular pain mechanisms and biomarker discovery.
Her research investigates systemic molecular changes in chronic peripheral neuropathic pain, analyzing plasma, cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), and saliva to identify biomarkers. Key areas include neuroinflammation, lipid metabolism, and molecular profiling across bodily fluids.
Recent publications highlight her work on oxylipins and lipoproteins in pain states, as well as inflammatory profiles in CSF and plasma. While no formal scientific awards are publicly listed, her contributions to exploratory pain research are documented in journals like Pain Reports and BMC Neuroscience.
