Miia Hast is a University Lecturer at the Faculty of Education, University of Lapland. Her work focuses on educational technology, remote teaching methodologies, and pandemic response in education. She actively collaborates on projects like TIPOTE (2024–2026), Tekoäly Nyt! (2022–2024), and eLapland (2020), emphasizing digital competence and inclusive teacher education.
Research interests include the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on education systems, particularly in northern Finland and transnational contexts. She explores technological pedagogical content knowledge (TPACK), teacher workload management, and rural education challenges. Recent studies highlight remote learning strategies, professional educator development, and crisis management in education.
