Mihwa Seong

Dr. Mihwa Seong is a Lecturer in Entrepreneurship at King’s Business School, King’s College London, specializing in modules like Venture Growth for the Strategic Entrepreneurship & Innovation MSc program. Her research focuses on diversity, equity, inclusion (DEI), and gender equality within entrepreneurial ecosystems. She holds a PhD in Entrepreneurship from Ivey Business School (Canada) and completed postdoctoral work at the University of St. Gallen (Switzerland).

Her research spans topics like gender dynamics in startups, entrepreneurial well-being, and inclusive professional networking. Key contributions include work on job advertisement language impacts and CSR’s gendered effects in multinational corporations. She actively contributes to prestigious conferences such as the Academy of Management and serves as DEI division representative there.

Current research explores playful networking strategies for professional equity, sexual harassment in entrepreneurial contexts, and humor’s role in workplace hierarchies. Though prolific in publishing, she is currently not accepting PhD students.
