Mihaela Bernard

Mihaela Bernard is a Lecturer at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and serves as a Child, Adolescent, and Family Therapist at Inside Family Counseling. She is an Analyst-in-Formation at the Freudian School of Quebec and Adjunct Faculty at DePaul University's Counseling Program.

Education: MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from DePaul University.

Her research explores intersections between aesthetics, psychoanalysis, culture, sexuality, trauma, and art. She received the George Mohur Award for her paper on childhood psychosis and has presented widely on adolescent mental health and identity.

Her clinical practice specializes in child/adolescent psychotherapy, family therapy, anxiety disorders, and trauma. She develops therapeutic approaches for children with special needs and behavioral challenges.
