Miguel Varela

Professor Miguel Varela is a Full Professor and Director of the Higher Institute of Management (ISG), where he also serves as Scientific Coordinator of the Bachelor's Degree in Management. With a PhD in Economics (2004) and a master's in Organizational Systems of Economic Activity (1997), he has been a university professor since 1994, teaching in Portugal and internationally.

• Professional Experience: Consultant for multiple companies, former businessman in communications, Deputy to the Minister of Economy (XV Constitutional Government)
• Research: Over 200 publications in scientific and opinion journals, focusing on Economics, Management, and Public Policy
